Now that we have a rudimentary understanding of the pagan origins of christmas (never again capitalized in my world) and why Christians should shun it, let’s examine a part of the celebration in a little more detail: the movies. This particular task came as not only a rude awakening to me, but also a rather painful one, as one of my many christmas traditions was collecting and watching every christmas movie ever produced, or at least the decent ones.<\/p>\n
It would stand to reason since christmas is indeed pagan, and our sovereign Creator has instructed us to have no others gods and to not worship any other gods, that any nod towards christmas including movies related to it, are not to be indulged in no matter how ‘harmless’ they may appear. Yet it’s in so called ‘harmlessness’ where satan does some of his best work. What follows is a brief overview of these ‘harmless’ principles we are embracing in these annual indulgences.<\/p>\n
Santa Claus<\/strong> \nSanta Claus is Coming to Town Flying Reindeer<\/strong> \nAny movie about santa Frosty The Snowman<\/strong> \nFrosty The Snowman Spirits<\/strong> \nAny version of A Christmas Carol While movies aren’t the root of the problem, they go a long way to reinforcing belief and trust in many things Scripture warns us to avoid such as magic, spirits, and false gods. These movies are charming, fun, exciting, and show us why we should embrace satan and all things evil. The next time you watch one, assuming you still will, watch closely, ask YHWH to peel the scales from your eyes and allow you to have ‘eyes to see’, and see if you don’t begin to find all of the inherently wrong things in each of them.<\/p>\n If I’ve ruined christmas for you, I would say I’m sorry, but I’m not. Now it’s YOUR responsibility to inform others, and begin walking the path through the narrow gate. \nKnown by many other names, the Roman name being Saint Nicholas, and let’s not overlook his name is satan spelled just a little differently. Here is a ‘being’ who is immortal, clearly something reserved for only YHWH, Christ, angels, and a few select people who YHWH has chosen. Saint Nick isn’t one of those chosen few. He builds toys in his invisible workshop. What else is invisible? Spiritual warfare that surrounds each of us continually yet we cannot see it. He travels in a sleigh the flies through the air from the power of flying reindeer, which some stories hold is due to magic. What is magic other than a black art practiced by those who stand against YHWH. He travels under the cover of darkness (as does satan) and breaks into homes all over the world to leave these toys he builds. So he’s an intruder, but he’s jolly so that’s okay I guess. He also can see what every child is doing at all times, a trait only available to YHWH and Christ, not even satan. We teach our children to believe all of this, rather than to believe in Christ. He is a false god, immortal, all knowing, all seeing, who can grant wishes and conjure magic. The ultimate anti-christ, and we teach our children to worship him for a month out of each year. \nQuite a lot of holiday tomes are filled with spirits. Mainly those who lived before us and constantly walk this world, in a realm that we cannot see. Another reference to the spiritual warfare that surrounds us. Yet we’re not to be concerned with this in the least because they are ALL friendly and mean us well. This obviously doesn’t come from the Holy Scriptures, which teaches us quite the opposite. Spirits are everywhere throughout christmas, from angels to the so-called christmas spirit (or spirit of christmas), what ever that is. Movies… there’s a TON. Examples are:<\/p>\n
